Ranchi, Jul 6: In the wake of the party's defeat in the recent by-election, Bharatiya Janata Party president Nitin Gadkari has summoned chief minister Arjun Munda to New Delhi to discuss the by-poll debacle on Wednesday July 6.

Circumstances that led to the party's defeat are expected to be discussed at the meeting.

In the results that were announced on Monday July 4 Dineshanand Goswami lost to Jharkand Vikas Morcha candidate Ajay Kumar by a margin of over 1.5 lac votes.

Munda's efforts to convince the ruling coalition partners to support the BJP candidate failed and all the three ruling alliance partners contested seperately.

Following the defeat, Goswami sent his resignation letter to Gadkari taking moral responsibility for the defeat.
