Jayalalithaa to Meet Plan Panel


New Delhi, Jul 6 (IANS): Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa will meet Planning Commission officials here Wednesday to finalise the annual outlay for the state.

"The AIADMK supremo has left Chennai. She will be meeting the Planning Commission by 3 p.m. and will take part in the finalisation of the annual plan for the state by the Planning Commission," a source in her AIADMK party said.

This will be Jayalalithaa's second visit to the national capital after her sweeping victory in the Tamil Nadu assembly polls in April.

Jayalalithaa had visited New Delhi June 13, meeting Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and asking for special assistance for Tamil Nadu.
