Bantwal, Apr 23: "Development works in Bantwal Assembly constituency during my tenure was the stepping stone for my victory," said former minister and Congress candidate B Ramanath Rai.
"The people will compare my term and the tenure of another person for the last five years and this time Congress will win," he said.
He was speaking while canvassing door-to-door in Barimar village on Sunday, April 23.
"Most of the progress works throughout Bantwala taluk have taken place during my administration. The mini Vidhana Soudha building on B C Road, taluk and administrative Office on B C Road were built during my term," he said.
The most well-equipped KSRTC in the district and many administrative offices like the bus stand, tourist bungalow, Ambedkar Bhavan etc. were built during his period, he said.
At this time, he mentioned that he has developed well laid out roads, drinking water system, housing plot allocation, house construction, quality education system and health centers in almost all the villages by bringing a large amount of grants.
But there has been zero development in the Bantwal assembly constituency during the last five years. Realising that the people will not win over them, the BJP is more engaged in slander than last time.
However, Rai expressed hope that people will vote for the Congress and defeat the others by a huge margin this time without listening to any slander.
