Padyatra Day 3 : Rahul Gandhi's Special Protection Detains Man with Pistol

Aligarh, Jul 7: Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi's Special Protection Guard (SPG) spotted a man in the vicinity of the padyatra's route.

The unidentified man who was detained by the SPG has been handed over to the police for questionning.

Sources say that the hand gun found in his possession is licensed.

Gandhi had launched a padyatra on Tuesday July 5 to visit the farmers and villagers whose land had been acquired by the Industrial Authorities for Public Projects and discuss om their views on Chief Minister Mayawati's land acquisition policies.
