India, Bangladesh Ink Two Agreements


Dhaka, Jul 7 (IANS): India and Bangladesh Thursday signed two agreements - one on investment and the other on transit.

The agreements are the 'Exchange of instruments of ratification of the India-Bangladesh agreement on promotion and protection of investment' and the 'Standard operating procedure for movement of Bhutanese vehicle between Indian land customs station and Bangladesh land customs station', Daily Star reported.

The pacts were signed by Bangladesh High Commissioner in India Tariq A. Karim and Indian High Commissioner in Bangladesh Rajeet Mitter.

The agreements were signed on the second day of the three-day visit of Indian External Affairs Minister S.M. Krishna here.
