Udupi: ‘My Manipal’ unique art exhibition in Adithi art gallery from April 28 to May 1

Udupi, Apr 27: A water paint art exhibition titled ‘My Manipal’ painted by Dr Salvya S Raj, MD medical student of KMC Manipal, is going to be held from April 28 to May 1 at Aditi Art Gallery of Kunjibettu.

Giving details of the exhibition, in the press conference that was held on Tuesday, Dr Kiran Acharya, administrative trustee of the gallery said, “More than 30 paintings will be exhibited. This is the first time an exhibition on Manipal, which has attracted international attention in education, banking and printing sectors, is taking place.”

The exhibition will be inaugurated by Co-Chancellor of MAHE Dr Karkala Sharath Kumar. Dean of KMC Dr Padmaraj Hegde, HOD of medicine section Dr Raviraj Acharya will be the chief guests. Artist Dr Salvya S Raj was present.

Those interested can visit the exhibition gallery from 11 am to 7 pm from April 29 to May 1. Dr Salvya S Raj, who is a doctor by profession and water paint artist by passion has won eight international awards, six national awards and more than 65 golden awards. The art work of Dr Salvya is in the collection of many prestigious personalities including late Dr A P J Abdul Kalam. Dr Salvya has already held seven solo art exhibitions so far.
