Mangaluru, Apr 27: Free ambulance service will begin from April 29 on account of the Platinum Jubilee celebration of Pakkaladka Yuvaka Mandala.
Handful of youths, established Pakkaladka Yuvaka Mandala (PYM) in 1953 with the intention of providing knowledge of alphabets to uneducated farmers and coolie workers of villages in and around Bajal. The association has worked relentlessly for the development of society and is loved by one and all.
The association organizes blood donation camps every year in addition to health camps, providing various facilities of government to commoners, legal help camps, literacy campaign, free summer camp for children, distribution of books, scholarships, school sports meet, drama training, cultural programmes, street plays to create awareness, food kit and final rites of mortal remains during corona pandemic.
On the occasion of platinum jubilee, the association has taken up a pro-people project of providing free ambulance service to take patients who are economically poorer. This ambulance service will be inaugurated on April 29 at the grounds of Pakkaladka Yuvaka Mandala. On the occasion, PYM dance training centre and library in memory of former leader of yuvaka mandala Koragappa Kottary will be inaugurated as per the information provided by Deepak Bajal, president of the association and Preetesh Talavaru, secretary.
