Mumbai, July 8 (IANS) A benchmark index for Indian equities markets Friday started trade on a quiet note, giving up its opening trade gains.
The 30-scrip sensitive index (Sensex) of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) which opened at 19,084.06 points, was ruling at 19,088.3 points, up 10.03 points or 0.05 percent from its previous close at 19,078.3 points.
It had moved up to 19,131.7 points minutes after opening.
The 50-scrip S&P CNX Nifty of the National Stock Exchange was also trading at 5,725.95 points.
Broader markets too were ruling dull with the BSE midcap index 0.07 percent up and the BSE smallcap index up 0.15 percent.
