Karkala, April 28: “The derogatory statement made against the prime minister by Congress national president Mallikarjuna Kharge is an insult to the nation,” said minister Sunil Kumar in anguish.
Speaking in a news conference at Vikas office here on Friday afternoon, he said the society will not tolerate such an insult. “The previous insults by former Congress president Sonia Gandhi and Siddaramaiah are also condemnable,” he said.
“Siddaramaiah has been allergic to Kumkuma since the beginning. He is likely to erase Kumkuma from everybody’s forehead if Congress comes to power. Saying that the word Hindu is indecent by the Congress president is disastrous for the culture of India,” he said condemning the behaviour of Congress leaders.
“The party will hold a mass house visit campaign on April 30 in Karkala. BJP workers of 210 booths will visit houses at the same time and conduct campaigns,” he said.
Member of Vidhana Parishat Pratap Simha Nayak, block president Mahaveer Hegde and campaign committee president Sanoor Narasimha Kamath were present.
