Lucknow, Jul 8: Reacting strongly to Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi's statement on Thursday July 7, ruling Bahujan Samaj Party said that the irresponsible and childish statement made by the Congress leader offended the people of the state.
Rahul Gandhi, while addressing to villagers on the third day of his padyatra said that the divided state was being controlled by 'dalal's.
Addressing a press release, the party's spokesperson said that Gandhi's political immature statement was an insult to the people of the state who had given a clear majority to the party to run the government for five years.
The spokesperson ridiculed Rahul saying that the Congress headed UPA government was looking for such issues to divert people's attention from their incapability to run the government.
The BSP treminded the Congress party of the Bofors scandal which had dislodged the part from power.
The BSP spokesperson further criticized the Congress for 'preaching against corruption' by referring to other such corruption cases that took place underCongress rule.
