Bantwal: BJP worker dies of cardiac arrest while campaigning

Bantwal, May 5: A BJP worker died of cardiac arrest during house-to-house campaigning on Friday May 5 at Kalayi of Kavalamudooru villager in the taluk.

The deceased is identified as Praveen Nayak (45), a local resident and photographer by profession.

Praveen and his team were visiting every house near the locality where he lives and seeking votes in favour of BJP candidate Rajesh Naik. Around 1.30 pm, Praveen collapsed. Though he was rushed to the primary health care centre of Punjalakatte, he had breathed his last by then.

Praveen is survived by wife, son and daughter. He was owning a digital studio at Mulkaje Mada and was well known in the locality due to his mild manners.
