7.1-magnitude quake hits off eastern Japan: USGS


Beijing, July 10 (IANS) An earthquake measuring 7.1 on the Richter scale jolted off the east coast of Honshu island, Japan at 0057 GMT Sunday, the US Geological Survey said.

The epicentre, with a depth of 10.00 km, was initially determined to be at 38.0000 degrees north latitude and 143.5000 degrees east longitude.
