Survey predicts BJP dominance in Coastal Karnataka

New Delhi/Bengaluru, May 10 (IANS): The ABP/C-Voter Exit Poll has predicted an interesting picture for Coastal Karnataka, suggesting that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is likely to emerge as a major party in the region once again.

According to the survey, the BJP is projected to secure 17 out of the 21 seats in the region, one less than its 2018 tally. On the other hand, the Congress is predicted to win only just four seats in the region, gaining one seat as compared to its 2018 tally.

The exit poll findings indicate a significant disparity between the BJP and the Congress in the coastal areas of Karnataka.

The BJP's strong presence in Coastal Karnataka can be attributed to various factors, the latest being Congress poll promise of imposing a ban on the Bajrang Dal. Apart from this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi's rallies in the region also came as a boost for the saffron party.

People used to say society is backward due to lack of education and that uneducated and ignorant people elect bad leaders, but reality has been exactly the opposite. Wherever , we see across the world, it is the uneducated, poor and backward people who have suffered much, that have brought in change, reform and civility across countries. Even in India when Mrs Gandhi imposed emergency and suppressed people's rights, it is the backward masses from the so called cow belt, that showed her the door. Educated people have always voted for bullies, haters, extremists, tyrants, thugs and dictators as leaders. Coastal Karnataka is region of highly educated people and yet its preference is towards people who propagate hate and divisions.

Any party begging for votes using only a purely communal agenda shows it's utter desire to grab power at the cost of the secular constitutional values of the country; should not be encouraged in the larger interests of the common citizens of the country, or else the end result will be unimaginable!!

Surely bjp will win, reason behind it these so called sharp brain people are very communal. they are mostly shakha going and blind bhakths. they wants their son/daughter to become doctors engineers or scientists but same they want india to ruled by a uneducated show man. they blindly supports here those goons who are wearing saffron shawl. they mistakenly forced to believe that muslims and christians are threat for them, so these goons are their saviors, buddivantha fools . so kept voting to BJP. in conclusion , everything has an end.

Looks like religion affiliated politics and cash flow might have played the trick unfortunately! Religion will not bring infrastructure development, efficient leaders can.

BJP was given a chance to form the state government and made such a mess. In the name of governance all we got was empty promises, division of people basis religion and hatred. The hatred is gone to the level of bringing a divide with our best friends whom we grew up with just because of the political ideology influenced by Hindutva. The next generation too has been impacted and brainwashed to being intolerant towards other religions. Moral education is the need of the day irrespective of which government takes over. Sad to see our Udupi and DK being pioneers of hatred in the state.

I used to have more Hindu friends than Christians when I grew up. I used to spend most of my time playing cricket in my Hindu friend's backyard. Today it is a sad story. What a mess and what kind future so our children have?

Agree. We studied in convent schools and were taught to live together in harmony. There was never an issue brought up or a fight regarding religion or hurting sentiments. Today the very students who have reached heights professionally spew venom against the minority; their very own best friends for that matter. Education does not always mean intelligence. You got be brought up with good moral values ultimately. Love ,peace and harmony always wins.
