Panama Group Heading Towards Film, Wind Power Industries

Mangalore, Jul 12: Coastal Karnataka’s Panama Group of companies at present having mining and stock market business is now planning to expand its business towards film and wind power fields. In this connection, the required infrastructure is already under progress.

Wind power is a world wide growing industry and countries including India are showing keen interest to achieve a better fuel target. Accordingly, Panama has decided to extend its wings towards wind power production. All preparations are at the end stage to establish a 100 MW capacity wind power station in Tamil Nadu.

In order to enter into the field of film industry, plans are already on to establish a company called Panama Studios. In the first stage it plans to produce three Kannada movies.

Panama Group was established in the year 2000, having its registered office at Mangalore and head office at Mumbai. It mining and stock market business has left a mark in the market. Last year the company achieved 3500 lac MT mining transaction with a turnover of Rs 105 crore.

The trading of 17 valuable mines like iron ore, manganese, bauxite, lime stone, copper, aluminium, pottasium, coal, cobalt, nickel, platinum etc was undertaken during last year.
Panama has its business network in Sahara Sub continent of Africa, Brazil, South Africa and USA.

Panama Mining Industries corporation Ltd has membership of World Economic Forum and has been included in the membership of rapidly developing industries of the world. The other industries included from India are Manipal Education, Apollo Hospitals, Apollo Tyres, Dabur India Ltd, Karuturi Global Ltd, Raheja Developers, Moserbaer India Ltd, Muthoot Group Companies and YES Bank Ltd.

The Company has decided to establish a big mining trading industry at Madagascar Island and preparations are already under progress. It is expected to resume its commercial operations in the year 2012-13.

Panama Industries had received an invitation for the second time to participate in the Summer Davos Summit to be held at China during September 14 to 16, 2011 and Indian Economic Forum summit to be held at India during November 12 to 14, 2011.
