Islamabad, Jul 13 (IANS): A stable Afghanistan was in the interest of Pakistan, Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani has said.

He said the US should involve Pakistan in the reconciliation process that it was pursuing in Afghanistan for ensuring peace in the region.

Speaking at the Governor House in Quetta, Gilani Tuesday said Pakistan desires to have peaceful ties with its neighbours, including Iran and Afghanistan, as this would provide boost to our economy.

He said it was in the interest of Pakistan to have a peaceful and thriving Afghanistan, reported Associated Press of Pakistan.

He said adoption of dialogue is the best procedure for resolving problems.
