New Delhi, Jul 13: The newly-appointed union law minister Salman Khursheed's first duty will be to look into the Solicitor General’s issue.

Congress leader Khursheed will be taking charge on Wednesday July 13 he is expected to take decision on Gopal Subrahmanium's resignation on the same day.

Subrahnmanium had offered his resignation recently as he was unhappy with the decision of the centre to hire a private lawyer Rohington Nariman for the government in the 2G case.

His resignation was not accepted then and Nariman appeared at the court on Monday July 11 for the government in the Supreme Court. Subrahmanium reportedly kept himself away from the proceedings.
