Bengaluru: Dr Alok Mohan appointed Karnataka DG&IGP

Bengaluru, May 20: Dr Alok Mohan has been appointed as the Director General and Inspector General of Police (DG&IGP) (Head of Police Force) Karnataka.

The position was vacant after the appointment of DGP Praveen Sood as CBI director.

Dr Alok Mohan, the director general of police & commandant general, Home Guards has been given the additional charge along with the post of chairman, Karnataka State Police Housing Corporation, Bengaluru with effect from May 22.

Dr Alok Mohan is 1987 batch Karnataka cadre IPS officer. He has the experience of working in various divisions of the department during the last 36 years. He was the joint commissioner of Bengaluru city crime division, ACB and ADGP. He is due to retire in April 2025.

    I am not anybody's right hand man .I do not have political or religious affiliations, so I had patients across all spectrums. I had treated Modi in 2002 when he had lost his voice before his swearing in ceremony as CM. His sworn opponents actress Mallika Sarabhai daughter of Vikam and Mrinalini, Ehsan Jhafri (husband of Zakia) were also my patients. Much before that, I had treated Sumitraben granddaughter of Gandhiji and Maniben daughter of Sardar Patel. Virajben Patel and Nita Solanki dil and daughter of ex CMs of Gujarat and Pravin Togadia were my classmates in medical college one year senior and junior to me. The richest (Ramnik ,Vimal Ambanis and family) and the poorest from the slums of "Hollywood" in Ahmedabad also were my patients.Though I do not visit any religious place ( I pray from home), I have been blessed in person by Mother Teresa, Swamijis of Swaminarayan ( 3 of the 4 divisions), Stanislaus Fernandes fromer Archbishop of Gujarat,and Shabbir Ahmed Siddiqui Shahi Imam Jama Masjid Ahmedabad. I have never taken any benefit from anyone personally. Incidentally Honey's brother who was in the airforce was the pilot of Indiraji. Modi had sent Diwali greetings to me which I have reciprocated, during Covid I had written to him the need for vaccines (Covaxin) and then to ICMR and Bharat Biotech. Nobody knows me in Mangalore, and I prefer to keep a low profile.

    The plot thickens, here newly appointed is said to be retiring in 2years and other guy has been appointed chi head for 2years. Something fishy
