Mangaluru: Labourer crossing railway track killed by train

Mangaluru, May 21: A tragic incident occurred on Saturday night at Olapete in Thokkottu, where a labourer crossing the railway tracks was struck by a train and killed instantly.

The deceased has been identified as Shravan Das (40) from Bihar. After completing his work in Kalladka, Shravan was on his way to bring Sambar from a hotel when the train collided with him. The impact threw him onto the road, resulting in immediate fatality.

The railway police arrived at the scene and were able to establish the victim's identity through an Aadhar card found in his pocket. Shravan, who was living alone in a rented room in Thokkottu, leaves behind a wife and children residing in Bihar.

    They honk continuously dotto sir. Being sunday today, and weekly off, nothing can be heard due to some ill gotten life killing drinks....kalle mu ? Poor guy....may his departed soul rest in peace....
