Bengaluru, May 22: Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar called on senior BJP leader and former Congress chief minister S K Krishna at the latter’s residence in Bengaluru to seek his blessings and guidance.
Speaking to media persons after the visit, the KPCC chief said: "It is my duty to seek his (Krishna’s) blessings and guidance as he had given me political support.’’
Krishna has gifted me personally autographed book on the history of Bengaluru, which is a 'very thoughtful gesture', Shivakumar said.
The deputy chief minister underscored the need for a comprehensive plan to maintain and clean all underpasses in the city in view of the death of an Infosys employee due to drowning in the KR Circle underpass and the death of another youth at Byaratarayanapura due to heavy downpour in the city on Sunday.
"We need to examine the infrastructure facilities in the entire city and see that these kind of mishaps do not recur,’’ he added.
