Beltangady: Pedestrian killed after being hit by school bus

Beltangady, May 23: A school bus claimed the life of a pedestrian at Kuvettu Guruvayanakere on Monday May 22.

The deceased has been identified as Yogesh Poojary (40) from Kasaba Nedigutthu here.

The school bus was going towards Madhadka from Beltangady. The bus hit Poojary and ran over his legs. A seriously injured Poojary was rushed to the hospital but he succumbed to the injuries on the way.

A case is filed against the driver Shashidhar for negligent driving.
