Mangaluru, May 27: Nuthana Kumari, wife of slain BJP youth leader Praveen Nettaru, who was given a contract basis job in the chief minister’s during the BJP rule, has lost her job.
Earlier, when the BJP was in power in the state, Nalin Kumar Kateel, state BJP president assured to provide a job to Praveen Nettaru’s wife on humanitarian grounds using the special power of the CM. Accordingly, Nuthana was given senior assistant (group C) post in the ministry of CM Bommai on September 22, 2022. Now it is learnt that an order is served to drop her from the position in which she was working.
In the appointment order of Nuthana, it was mentioned that the employment is valid only till the then CM was in power or till next order. Nuthana was given a job in the deputy commissioner’s (DC) office of Dakshina Kannada as per her request to provide her job locally. Accordingly, she was working at the DC office from October 14.
DC M R Ravikumar said, “When the government changes, temporary positions get cancelled naturally. If Nuthana Kumari requests for continuation, the same will be submitted to the present government.”
Nuthana was not available for her comment on the order that she has received.
