Peter D’Souza absconding for 17 years arrested in Mangaluru

Mangaluru, Jun 1: A man absconding for 17 years was nabbed by city police on Wednesday June 1.

The arrested is identified as Jason Peter D’Souza (42) from Meramajalu Bantwal.

Jason was absconding since 17 years.

An LPC warrant was issued against him and IPC section 420 was filed against him in Mangaluru north police station.

As per the direction of Mangaluru central ACP Mahesh Kumar, the operation was carried out by police inspector Raghavendra, sub inspector Puneeth Goankar and others.

Peter was released on bail in the evening on Thursday. It is gathered he has been battling some health issues. Advocate Kishore D'Silva attended the bail hearing court for Peter.
