Islamabad, Jul 18 (IANS): It was time for fun and games at a fair for children, especially those suffering from cancer in Karachi city.
The family fun fair was organised by the Children Cancer Hospital (CCH) to provide the children with recreational activities and to raise funds for their treatment, the Daily Times reported Monday.
Over 80 children suffering from different types of cancers had a fun time at the fair.
Organisers set up over 90 stalls of different food items, games, magic shows, physical activities and health awareness where the visitors enjoyed the food and recreational activities free of charge.
The children enjoyed themselves as most of them cannot go to amusement parks and other recreational facilities due to their health issues as well as their economic situation.
"I have never enjoyed in my entire life as much as I did here," Laiba, a five-year old child, was quoted as saying.
Every year, 350 to 450 new cases of childhood cancer are brought at CCH Karachi for treatment from across Pakistan.
