Riyadh: Two Farms Fined for Violating Rules


Riyadh, Jul 18(Arab News): The Ministry of Agriculture has fined two poultry farms in Makkah Province SR180,000 for violating several regulations. A farmer in Taif was handed a fine of SR100,000 for violating rules.

One of the violations was not having a vet and mandatory security arrangements. Another  farmer in Jeddah was fined SR80,000 for not having a waste disposal system at his slaughterhouse and water recycling facility. The slaughterhouse had cracks on the walls. The owner had not renewed his license, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Sunday.
