Somali Pirates Hijack UAE-owned Ship


 Nairobi, Jul 18 (IANS): Somali pirates have hijacked a United Arab Emirates-owned oil tanker.

The tanker, MV Jubba XX has 16 crew members on board in the Indian Ocean, the European Union's anti-piracy taskforce said Monday.

The tanker, MV Jubba XX, was seized July 16 while enroute from the United Arab Emirates to the port of Berbera in Somalia, Xinhua quoted EU Naval Force spokesman Paddy O'Kennedy as saying.
