Mangaluru: Dr M V Shetty Memorial Trust Founder's Day celebrated at Kavoor college campus

Mangaluru, Jun 12: The Founder's Day celebration of Dr M V Shetty Memorial Trust took place at MV Shetty College Kavoor on Monday, June 12.

During the event, Dr Kishore Kumar, district health officer, spoke about the strong conviction and dedication of Dr M Ramgopal Shetty towards his profession. He highlighted Dr Shetty's vision of imparting education in health sciences and serving humanity. Dr Kumar also expressed gratitude to Dr M V Shetty Memorial Trust for their service at Wenlock Hospital.

Dr Ranjit Shetty, a trustee of Dr M V Shetty Memorial Trust, emphasized Dr Ramgopal Shetty's instrumental role in establishing the institution and developing the curriculum.

Dr Hima Urmila Shetty, chairperson of Dr M V Shetty Memorial Trust, stated that Dr M Ramgopal Shetty has laid the foundation for the future, and the trust will continue to build upon it. She pledged to carry forward the work initiated by Dr Shetty and make him proud.

The celebration also included the inauguration of a blood donation camp. Following the formal function, Dr B Sachidanand Rai, a consultant orthopedic surgeon, addressed the audience about the importance of organ donation.

Dr Suma S Rai, director of academics, welcomed the gathering, while Prof Christeena Saju Varkey, principal of College of Nursing, proposed a vote of thanks. The event was compered by Clevita D'Souza.
