Mangaluru: Two individuals arrested for drug possession

Mangaluru, Jun 12: Two persons were apprehended by Konaje Police for possessing methamphetamine drugs in Nethila Village on Sunday, June 11.

Acting on specific information received on June 11, PSI Ashok of Konaje Police, along with other police personnel, conducted a raid near a Kambala site in Nethila village where methamphetamine was allegedly being sold illegally. During the operation, approximately 20 grams of methamphetamine and a Suzuki Access scooter with registration number KA 19 HD 0392 were seized.

The arrested individuals are Abdul Rasheed Moyuddin, 41, and P Arif (also known as Harris), 40, residents of Ullal Taluk. The total value of the seized assets amounts to Rs 1,06,500.

The operation was carried out under the supervision of commissioner of police Kuldeep Kumar Jain, deputy commissioner of police law and order Anshu Kumar, and Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime and Traffic) Dinesh Kumar. The Konaje Sub Inspectors of Police, Nagaraj S and Ashok, led the operation, while the team consisting of Naveen, Manjappa, Sivakumar, Purushottam, Chandrakant, Anil Kumar, Baram Badigera, Hemanth Kumar, and Rava worked diligently to execute the operation.
