Kundapur, Jun 12: A man standing by the road tragically lost his life on NH 66 at Trasi on Sunday night when he was struck by a bus.
The victim, Raju Poojary, was waiting near the divider of Trasi petrol pump, intending to cross the road. A bus traveling from Kundapur to Byndoor collided with him. Raju fell to the ground and suffered severe head injuries. Both of his legs were fractured, and he succumbed to excessive bleeding.
Concerned locals Praveen, Lipton, and Devaraja Kotari rushed Raju to Kundapur government hospital. A case has been filed at Gangolli police station in connection with the incident.
