Bantwal: Private bus falls into roadside ditch, passengers sustain minor injuries

Daijiworld Media Network – Bantwal (MS)

Bantwal, Jun 12: A private bus that was plying from B C Road to Mangaluru fell into a roadside ditch, after the driver lost control of the vehicle, on Sunday morning at Thumbay on NH 75.

The mud that was put by the side of the national highway had loosened due to the rainfall. As the bus ran over it, the driver lost control of the vehicle and the bus slipped into the roadside drain. Passengers in the bus sustained minor injuries. The passengers continued their journey in other vehicles.

The bus, which was going from B C Road to Mangaluru, made a complete U-turn and was facing B C Road after it slipped in the mud. Though there was an electricity pole nearby, fortunately the bus did not crash into it.
