Mangaluru: Biparjoy cyclone scare – Emergency safety work in progress at Ullal

Mangaluru, Jun 13: Stones are being put on emergency basis as the sea shore of Ucchila Battapady near Ullal in order to prevent sea erosion as per the instructions given by district administration.

It is said that there is possibility of Biparjoy cyclone effect will hit Ullal sea beach also. Dakshina Kannada district in-charge minister Dinesh Gundu Rao also asked the district administration to take up the work on war footing.

Stones are being brought in tipper and are put on the sea shore using excavators. The work is being done to rescue houses that are on the sea beach. As per the weather department the sea will turn violent in next 48 hours.
