A job fair for the differently-abled


New Delhi, July 19 (IANS) A job fair for the differently-abled will be held here Wednesday.

Candidates from institutions like the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), Delhi University, All India Federation of the Deaf, Blind Relief Association of India are scheduled to participate.

Organised by industry lobby PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the fair will be inaugurated by union Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment Mukul Wasnik. 

"The job fest would provide a platform for the employers and the physically challenged and will give them an excellent opportunity to avail a job in the private sector. This is an occasion for the corporate organisations to show their commitment towards social inclusiveness by recruiting differently abled people," said a statement by the Ministry for Social Justice and Empowerment here Tuesday.

The fest will also impart information about vocational training and self-entrepreneurship to the candidates.
