Mangaluru, Jun 14: A new emergency medicine department at KMC Hospital Attavar was inaugurated by DCP law and order Anshu Kumar Srivatsav on Wednesday June 14.
The emergency medicine department is equipped with round-the-clock emergency care services, a dedicated Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Operation Theater (OT), and STAT lab. This state-of-the-art facility, boasting 30 beds is set to revolutionize emergency medical care in the region.
Addressing the gathering, DCP Anshu Kumar Srivatsav said, “The facilities which are given at KMC Hospital will be helpful to the patients. There are two professions which people avoid as much as possible. One of them is a doctor; whenever an individual comes in contact with a doctor, they do their best to save his life. The new innovation emergency medicine department will be a plus for the patients.”
Vice chancellor MAHE Dr M D Venkatesh inaugurated the updated website of KMC Hospital Attavar and said, “The emergency medicine department at KMC Hospital Attavar has been particularly designed to provide quick and widespread care to patients in critical condition. The emergency medicine department has been a mandatory requirement. This department will also have to do a lot of training, awareness, capacity building to provide the best facility. The KMC is working for the people by providing the best of care.”
Pro vice chancellor MAHE Dr Dilip G Naik, medical superintendent KMC Hospital Attavar Dr John Ramapuram, dean KMC Dr B Unnikrishnan, and chief operating officer Teaching Hospitals Dr Anand Venugopal were also present.
Head, department of emergency medicine Dr Madhusudan Upadya welcomed the gathering, assistant professor from the department of emergency medicine Dr Nikhil Paul proposed the vote of thanks and Dr Achu compered the event.
