Mangaluru: Administrative secretary stabbed by youth over row on switching off lights at mosque

Mangaluru, Jun 16: A man was stabbed by a local youth over issue of putting off lights in the mosque near Janata Colony of Kana at Suratkal.

Mohammed Shafi (38), secretary of Tazuli Jumma mosque administrative committee is the victim. Local resident Tahir (25) is the youth who is accused.

It may be recalled, accused Tahir had pulled JD(S) candidate Mohiuddin Bawa’s shirt collar during the election campaigning.

Victim Shafi is admitted to private hospital of Mangaluru. A case is registered at Suratkal police station.
