St Raymonds PU College Celebrates 90th Foundation Day of Bethany Congregation

Mangalore, Jul 20:  St Raymond PU College celebrated the 90th foundation day of Bethany Congregation here at Vamanjoor recently.

The origin of Bethany Congregation was staged by students in the form of a dance drama composed by Arun Vincent D Souza, lecturer in computer science. The message of the drama was to welcome Jesus into evebody's hearts as Martha, Mary and Lazarus of Bethany welcomed Jesus into their house.

Headmistress of St Raymond English Medium High School Patrina in her speech about Fr Founder said that everyone should follow Founder to keep Christ's values alive in the society.

Principal of St Raymond P U College Cecilia D'Souza said that Fr R F C Mascarenhas was a man for the poor and compassionate. She urged people to be compassionate like Fr Mascarenhas and Founder.

Cecilia also expressed her revere towards Founder for being visionary and missionary who was always kind towards the poor and the marginalized.

St Raymond PU College runs under the Management of Bethany Educational Society and has completed ten years of its existence. It has national level talents in Yoga and sports among its students. Students are encouraged to serve the society and to work for Justice through NSS and AICUF programmes.
