Mumbai, July 21 (IANS) A benchmark index for Indian equities Thursday crawled into the green, having slipped into the negative soon after opening bell. Broader markets were ruling flat.
The 30-scrip sensitive index (Sensex) of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), which opened at 18,514.65 points, was ruling at 18,512.17 points, up 9.79 points or 0.05 percent from its previous close at 18,502.38 points.
The 50-scrip S&P CNX Nifty of the National Stock Exchange was also trading lacklustre at 5,570.95 points, up 0.07 percent.
The BSE midcap index was ruling 0.1 percent up and the BSE smallcap index was trading 0.19 percent up.
