Mangaluru:  Mount Carmel Central School holds investiture ceremony 2023-24

Mangaluru, Jun 18: Mount Carmel Central School, Mangaluru held the Investiture Ceremony for the year 2023-24 at the school auditorium on Saturday 17.

The NCC cadets marched in unison with the newly appointed cabinet leaders and escorted the chief guest Krishna Prasad Adappa, the principal Sr Melissa and vice principal Sr Therese Teena to the dais.

The programme commenced with a prayer service invoking the blessings of the almighty for a successful and happy student environment at the school. 

The chief guest, Krishna Prasad Adappa along with the principal Sr Melissa, administrator Sr Carissima, vice principal Sr Teena, head boy Siddharth Shetty and head girl Anvilla D'Souza illuminated the light of leadership by lighting the lamp to the tune of asathoma sadhgamaya.

The head boy, Siddharth Shetty welcomed the gathering and introduced the chief guest Krishna Prasad Adappa, director, of Accolades Academy, and the head girl Anvilla florally welcomed the chief guest.

Further, a symbolic inaugural portrayed the alma mater granting the responsibility of the school to the head boy and head girl. The chief guest and the principal honoured the head boy and head girl with a sash and badge. Then the principal administered the oath to the head boy and head girl.

The alma mater then discharged the responsibility to the cabinet ministers, house leaders and club leaders while the headboy administered the oath to them and the leaders pledged to work sincerely for the growth of the school.

“In the journey of life, the days we spend as students is the important one, as it is here we imbibe what we learn and the school shapes our future,” said the chief guest Krishna Prasad Adappa, in his address. He advised the students to imbibe the value of compassion, strength and humility, so necessary to be a good leader. In conclusion, he congratulated the newly inducted cabinet for the academic year of 2023-24 and wished them good luck.

The principal, Sr Melissa in her speech expressed her heartiest congratulations to the head boy and head girl and the other leaders. She highlighted the responsibility that one acquires as a student council member and urged them to inculcate exemplary behaviour, a culture of compassion and reverence towards all. In conclusion, she advised the rest of the students to cooperate with the student council and motivated each one of them to follow the values of discipline, sincerity, dedication, delegation, responsibility and perseverance in life.

The head girl Anvilla D'Souza rendered the vote of thanks. The programme was compared by Sanorita and Rayner of grade X.
