New Delhi, Jul 22: In wake of the leaked report wherein Lokayukta Santosh Hegde has indicted Chief Minister Yeddyurappa, the Bharatiya Janata Party’s high command will not take action against him, atleast not for the next few days.
The party’s spokesperson Prakash Javadekar said, “Let us wait for the Lokayukta’s report. Only then we will give a comprehensive response.”
Sources revealed that unless the indictment is serious in nature, where there may not be any action.
The recommendation of a probe leading to the financial loss of Rs 1800 crore will be investigated, though there will be no threat to the CM’s continuance in office.
According to sources, despite Hegde’s claim that there is “substantive” evidence against Yeddyurappa, it will be left to the CM himself to decide his next course of action.
