New Delhi, July 22 (IANS) Home Minister P. Chidambaram and his Pakistani counterpart Rehman Malik Friday travelled on the same flight to Thimphu to attend a security conference of the eight-nation SAARC grouping.

Sources in the home ministry told IANS that the two ministers took the same Druk Air flight from Delhi to the Paro International Airport, from where they would be travelling to Thimphu by road.

Malik had a a brief transit halt at the Indira Gandhi International Airport here en route to the scenic Bhutanese capital, which is hosting the conference.

"They did exchange pleasantries but we don't know if they held any discussions," an official said.
