Lucknow woman jumps off apartment's 10th floor in Bengaluru, dies


Bengaluru, Jun 23 (IANS): A Lucknow woman jumped off the 10th floor of apartments in Bengaluru in Nagenahalli village near Yelahanka locality here and died.

The deceased was identified as 27-year-old Amrita Sharma.

Sharma, who used to work in a private company, got married two years ago. She used to reside with her in-laws here.

She jumped off the 10th floor on Thursday night. The woman was rushed to hospital where she was declared brought dead.

Police said Sharma had lost her father recently and was attached to him.

Her family members in Lucknow have been informed and they are coming to Bengaluru.

The police stated that they will get more clarity in the case, once her family members record their statements.

    So sad.One young married girl doesnt jump simply so from 10th stockThere must be a strong reason behind it.Only if someone knew.Troubles from in laws for more dowry ?or from hubby?Or any problems in work place.?Some co worker can also be very dangerous .Not she lost her father.May her soul find rest in Heaven .Heartfelt sympathy to her family.

    People can be so hard hearted, showing no compassion for a tragic death whether it is by accident or by suicide, makes no difference. In the case of suicide, a person is so extremely dejected that she or he believes there is no reason to continue to live as a mental case. RIP Amrita Sharma!
