Bengaluru, Jun 24: The demand for electrical vehicles (EV) is soaring in Karnataka after the government announced free electricity scheme.

As the petrol price is rising, people are turning towards EVs as they can save the fuel cost. In the capital city, the demand has doubled.

In the past two months, the sales of EVs is increased by 30 to 40%. In March, 12000-14000 EVs were sold. In April, this rose from 14000 to 16000. In the month of May, the sales of E-bikes was astronomical at 22000 to 25000. Till June 15, so far 14000 to 16000 E-bikes are sold. The number is expected to reach 30000 till the end of June.

In March, all over India, 1.5 E-bikes were sold. In April, 1.2 lac and in May 1.28 lac E-bikes were sold. In comparison to all India sale, the share of Karnataka is more.

Earlier, there was a subsidy of Rs 40000 for E-bike. Now it is reduced to 15000. It might be reduced further in future. So many are booking the E-bikes now itself.

On the whole, the free electricity scheme of Karnataka government has brought smiles on the face of electrical vehicle manufacturers as well as commoners.

Electric means of transport is meant for high pollution, batteries can't be recycled hence it's burnt to destroy, advantage for customers but world 🌍 will be polluted, EV products are extremely disaster.

This shows how stupid the people have become. First of all they depend on a Government that gives freebies, without realising how the expense is adjusted. Secondly they expect this scheme to continue forever ? I am mot saying people should not buy electric vehicles, but to think they can run it at the cost of Government is foolish.

Hold the thought my friend. People are clever enough to realize that. Electric vehicles can be plugged in a home outlet and the consumption is recorded in the same meter as other electricity consumption. If anyone is foolish, it is the Congress.
