Kasargod, Jun 26: Young and promising model Sowparnika K V won the first runner-up spot in ‘Miss KL 14 Fashion League – Season 2’ conducted by New One Fashion modelling company on Sunday June 25 at Raj Residency, Kanhangad.

Vaishnavi emerged the winner of Miss KL 14 Fashion League – Season 2 and Sayana Sathesan bagged 2nd runner up place.

A day-long grooming session was conducted by New One Fashion modelling company at Raj Residency. Three rounds were held such as casual round, Kerala tradition round, and introduction round. The pageant was held for three titles Mr KL 14 – Season 2, Miss KL 14 – Season 2 and Kids Models. More than 50 contestants from various parts of the state took part in the contest. After successful three rounds, Sowparnika won the title ‘Miss KL 14 – Season 2 first runner up’.

Sowparnika had pursued her bachelor’s degree in journalism at Srinivas University Pandeshwar and is currently working at Daijiworld.com. She hails from Mangaluru and is the daughter of Ravichandra and Usha K.

An elated Sowparnika said, “It is a dream come true moment for me. This win is more special as I won in my home town Kasargod. Thank you is a small word that I would like to say to all who have helped me reach here, especially, the show director of KL14 Fashion League RJ Kripesh Krishnan and our show choreographer Jacquilin Jenny. I thank my family and friends. Through this award, my responsibility towards this crown has increased and this is just the beginning. I wish to gain more laurels in this field for which I would really work hard.

“Along with being a journalist, my ambition in life is to become an entrepreneur to commence my own event management company and contribute to my country, for which modelling will be a strong root to achieve my goal,” she said.
