50-year-old killed in Gurugram, robbery suspected


Gurugram, Jun 26 (IANS): In a broad daylight incident, a 50-year-old man was killed by an unknown person who slit his throat in Gurugram's Badshahpur area on Monday, police said.

According to the police, the deceased was identified as Madhu, who used to work as a tailor at home.

The incident took place in Badashahpur's Bada Bazar area on Monday around 2.30 p.m.

Soon after the information was received, a team from Badshahpur police station reached the spot and started investigating.

Preliminary investigation suggests that the case seems to be of robbery.

"We are scanning the CCTV footage of the spot to ascertain the identity of the suspect. The motive behind the killing is yet to be known," Inspector Satish, Station House Officer of Badshahpur police station said.
