BSES urges public to stay clear of electricity poles following NDRS tragedy

New Delhi, Jun 27 (IANS): In the aftermath of a tragic incident in Delhi, wherein a 35-year-old woman lost her life due to electrocution amid heavy rains at the New Delhi Railway Station on Sunday morning, the BSES Rajdhani Power Limited (BRPL) and BSES Yamuna Power Limited (BYPL), the two main power distribution companies in the national capital, have released an advisory, urging people to exercise caution and avoid proximity to electric poles as well as areas prone to water-logging.

This advisory serves as a reminder of the potential dangers posed by the combination of rainfall and electrical infrastructure, emphasising the need for people to prioritise their safety during such circumstances.

In an official statement, the BRPL and BYPL have reassured the public that they are actively implementing comprehensive measures to guarantee a secure and incident-free monsoon for the consumers.
