Sunny Morning in Delhi, Rains Likely


New Delhi, Jul 24 (IANS): Delhi had a sunny Sunday morning after light showers at night. The weatherman has forecast more rains later in the day.

The minimum temperature was 27 degrees Celsius, a notch below the average for this time of the season, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.

The maximum temperature is expected to hover around 33 degrees Celsius, an IMD official said.

"Skies will remain partly cloudy and thundershowers are expected," he said.

Delhi recorded 3.2 mm of rainfall from Saturday 8.30 a.m. to Sunday 8.30 a.m., he said.

The humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 92 percent.

The maximum and minimum temperature Saturday settled at 34 and 27 degrees Celsius respectively.
