44% feel BJP's double-engine govt formula won't fail in MP: Opinion Poll


New Delhi, Jun 27 (IANS): About 44.6 per cent people in poll-bound Madhya Pradesh feel that despite BJP's defeat in Himachal Pradesh and Karnataka, the party's double-engine government formula will not fail in Madhya Pradesh, according to the ABP-CVoter Opinion Poll.

According to the Opinion Poll was conducted with a sample size of 17,113 between May 26 and June 26, covering all the 230 Assembly seats, 44.6 per cent of the respondents felt that despite BJP's defeat in Himachal Pradesh and Karnataka, the party's double-engine government formula will not fail in Madhya Pradesh, which will go to polls later this year.

The poll said that 39.6 per cent felt that the double-engine formula might fail in the state, while 15.8 per cent people said they cannot comment.

Among the Congress supporters, 59.1 per cent people said they feel the double-engine formula will fail, while 29.7 per cent people felt otherwise.

Among the BJP supporters, 59.8 per cent people said the double-engine government will not fail, while 21.4 per cent supporters felt otherwise.

Among others, the opinion poll claimed that 37.3 per cent felt that the double-engine government formula will work in Madhya Pradesh, while 42.8 per cent people felt otherwise.
