IRS officer arrested in DA case

Lucknow, Jun 28 (IANS): The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Wednesday, raided the residence of Indian Revenue Service officer Sachin Sawant at Shalimar One apartment in connection with a corruption and disproportionate assets case.

Sawant has been arrested and is being taken to Mumbai.

He is currently posted as Additional Commissioner GST at Lucknow.

Sawant has served in ED as Deputy Director between 2017 and 2019.
