Bantwal, Jun 28: A married woman took her own life by jumping into a well at Jogimath, Kasba village, Vittal.

The deceased, identified as Anisha (34), was the daughter of Abdul Rehman and a resident of Motugoli, Kairangala village here.

In a police complaint filed with the Vittal police station, her younger brother Munir Ahmed stated that his elder sister had been visibly worried for unknown reasons following her third delivery and ultimately ended her life by jumping into their house well.

He mentioned, "There are no suspicions surrounding her death."

A case has been registered at the Vitla police station in connection with the incident.

    Very sad .It looks like she suffered depression after delivery.Many women get that following delivery.One has to be very careful with them.May be she got only girls ?Or only boys?Sometimes when they dont get the wished child or when financial problems come.Even without reason women fall into depression.One have to be carefully talk or dont scold them .Simply love and care might bring them to normal after some time.Some dont feed child etc.But have to accept it.Not punish them .May her soul rest in Peace.Heartfelt sympathy to her small children and poor baby.and her family.

    Rita, this depression is caused by hormonal imbalance around and after delivery; some mothers even kill the newborn; as you said, the family members have to be careful for sometime after delivery! But, some knowledgeable person has to be there to guide the close members.
