Infighting continues in Karnataka BJP, MLA Bellad’s audio goes viral

Hubballi, Jun 29 (IANS): The BJP, which suffered a humiliating defeat in the recent Karnataka Assembly elections, is increasingly plagued by infighting.

On Wednesday, when the ruling Congress announced launch of second free flagship scheme, a audio clip, purportedly of BJP MLA Arvind Bellad saying his party was not defeated by people but by its own leaders, went viral on social media.

“People have not sent us home. We are defeated by our own party leaders. The workers were not happy with the work of the government while in power. Few analyse that it is because Muslims have not voted, the BJP got defeated. But, when did the Muslims vote for BJP party? The honest introspection should be done on the defeat,” Bellad allegedly says in the audio.

The clip further has Bellad purportedly criticising Muslims and Christians for taking reservation against the Constitution and how the BJP had corrected this.

He also noted that the BJP was defeated in 16 seats reserved for STs and cited "negligence of other community people in those constituencies" as the reason.

Sources say that Bellad had made these statements during the party workers meeting.

Meanwhile, BJP workers clashed at a public convention in Bagalkot demanding ouster of party leaders who were into "adjustment politics" which resulted in the defeat of the party in the Assembly elections.

On the other hand, Union Minister Pralhad Joshi had stated that he has spoken to Mysuru-Kodagu MP Pratap Simha and advised him not to speak about contentious issues in public.

He had further stated that he had advised him to speak to the state President if at all there are any issues.

Former minister Murugesh Nirani, who was defeated in the elections and other former MLAs from Bagalkot district have attacked BJP MLA Basanagouda Patil Yatnal for issuing derogatory statements against them over "adjustment politics".

Meanwhile, former minister K.S. Eshwarappa stated that there is no discipline in the party, as it has become "influenced" by the Congress.

"We are putting up with such a situation for allowing Congress leaders to join the party.

“No one should speak about adjustment politics in public. I will request the leaders with joined hands to talk about the issues within four walls. Adjustment politics had not taken place in the history of Karnataka politics. The BJP has lost discipline,” he said.

BJP leaders must perceive why they were outrightly defeated by the people. Following are the reasons I have specified here how and why BJP was defeated. The Main Reasons for rejections by the people of Karnataka, which, Contributed to a Great Tsunami like Fall of BJP=Brhasta Jumla Paapies and a Landslide Victory for Congress in state of Karnataka are the Following: 1) Un-Employment and Restless among the Youths. 2) Rampant Corruptions from BJP MLA's. 3) Virtually Nil Developments in the State. 4) Mis-Management and Bad Governance. 5) Dividing Communities in the name of Religion/Faiths. 6) Informing Hindus not to have Businesses with Non-Hindus. 7) 40% Corruption in all Building Constructions / Tenders/ Procurements. 8) Outright Propaganda of Lies in Karnataka by the leaders and from P.M., Modi and in the media Channel's. 9) Building Gau-Shaalas. Example 100 gaushaalas. In fact physically 50 are available. Remaining money was Gulum. 10) Crowds were borrowed from other states and from within the state to throw flower petals to display great popularity of Modi 11) Above all, procuring MLA's in multi crores under Operations Kamala gave a great set back to BJP. 1 2) BJP Leaders were hoping after Showing Chaiwala's Face people will vote. In reality, Karnataka people directly rejected Modi's face as well as fully neglected chaiwala Modi and washed the roads in cow urine and in cow dung wherever he campaigned .

This is what happens when party embraces short term tactics to keep the flock together... People ultimately want only three things... Roti, Kapda aur makaan... Empty communal ideologies are best watched on celluloid screen occasionally... When reality pinches there is no room for divisive politics... Surprisingly after bajapa came into power caste politics among majority community has started boiling again... Development is only limited to few inaugurations and unwanted structures like new parliament building, PM palace and sardar statue... But for Mr. Gadkari which other departments are doing any credible work? Shobakka is a big useless both for farmers and her own state/constituency... Only loose talks same like Katil express....
