Mangaluru, Jun 29: “The BJP lost the state assembly elections, but still not learnt a lesson. Now they are challenging the guts of the Congress leaders. The Congress need not prove its guts to the BJP leaders. The BJP leaders who comment on the guarantee schemes of Congress as freebies can ask their party workers not to avail of the schemes introduced in the state said,” district Congress committee president and MLC Harish Kumar.

Addressing a press meet at the Congress office here on Thursday, June 29, he further said, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi had said that the formula of free guarantee of the Congress will leave the country bankrupt. What about the ‘Ladli Bahan Yojana’ of transferring Rs 1000 to the bank accounts of 12 million women of the Madhya Pradesh government? Will that not leave the country poorer?

“The Congress, as promised, is fulfilling all the five guarantees. People in the state are happy about the Congress' administration under chief minister Siddaramaiah and deputy chief minister D K Shivakumar. The BJP leaders are frustrated as people are showing a good response to the guarantee schemes of the Congress.

“Due to the cheap politics played by the BJP-led union government, the Congress government is unable to fulfill one guarantee, Anna Bhagya. Though there enough stock in the Food Corporation India, as the union government intervened in the matter, our state is being denied the rice. Hence, temporarily, the CM has decided to transfer the Rs 34 per kg under the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) scheme to the beneficiaries.

“Just because no poor should sleep hungry, the UPA government under the leadership of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi introduced the National Food Security Act. The act is the contribution of the Congress. It is Siddaramaiah who increased the rice from five to seven kilograms. But, the BJP government has reduced the same from seven to five kilograms.

“People who called Siddaramaiah as ‘Anna Ramaiah’ brought the Congress to power. The BJP who termed Siddaramaiah as ‘Siddaramullah Khan’ were washed out in the state. The infighting in the state between the BJP leaders is gradually increasing. The BJP has become a house of ten doors. The leader in Delhi who has a chest of 56 inches has no control over the party happenings in Karnataka. The BJP leaders who came from ‘Nagpur University’ have to at least get educated in the colleges of the district,” he said.

Former minister Abaychandra Jain also spoke and slammed the BJP leaders for ‘denying’ rice to the state.

Congress in Karnataka should concentrate on spreading the benefit of their guarantee schemes and enroll their voters into these schemes on priority instead of falling into BJP's trap now. Benefit for Congress if they visit every home and enroll majority of people under this scheme (a) Ladies who are in majority now, will support INC (b) Unity within INC party and workers (c) Increased co-ordination between party karyakarta's and leaders (d) indirect preparation for upcoming elections.

Harish Kumar is 100%👍☑️👌The BJPeeees have criticized congress freebies heavily, and they should never avail freebies if they have moral values. I see in reality the BJPeeees are the first to avail freebies of Congress by hook or by crook. shame, shame.....

Are there any more beggars in Karnataka? If so, give them priority, then to the poorest of the poor, then up the scale.... do not discriminate by denying those bhagyas to the ....BaJPeer's, because taxes are collected also from those pee'rs without discrimination, and that is from where the money comes from to give the bhagyas.
