Kochi, July 25 (IANS) Kochi-based Indiavibes, which claims to be the country's first web TV, has been awarded the Bloomberg UTV-Aegis Graham Bell award 2011 for innovation in mobile content application.
This award honours the outstanding contributions of entrepreneurs and companies in India in the fields of telecom, internet, media and edutainment.
www.indiavibes.tv, launched early this year, has become a popular stop for global audiences.
"We are delighted that entrepreneurs are also given a level-playing field now alongside big companies. Winning this award within a short span of starting our venture cements our belief and vision," said Andrine Mendez, founder and CEO, Indiavibes TV, after receiving the award late Saturday.
The selection process of the Aegis Graham Bell Awards 2011 winners was based on various parameters like innovativeness, market potential, social potential, sustainability and interoperability.
